Where are we going?
A reflection about Siela— what we’ve done and what is next…
So… where are we going?
That question seems to follow us — in life, in conversation, and now, with Siela. What started as an idea for a coffee cart quickly became something else. Back in October, we were dreaming of a mobile third space — somewhere people could gather, connect, linger over a cup. Coffee felt like the right medium, something that naturally brought people together.
But we realized we needed the community first. And so, we went back to our roots.
The name Siela comes from the Lithuanian word for “soul.” That’s where we started — with the soul of something. Over the past 10 months, Siela has become a lifestyle blog, a creative outlet, and a space where we’ve explored the things that inspire us — with the help of our friends (that’s you). We asked ourselves: what does it actually mean to do something for your soul?
Our first project was simple: a sticker. Anything is Possible. It felt fitting. We weren’t sure what Siela would be, or where it would go — we just knew we had to start. And that phrase, “anything is possible,” was a fitting mantra that held all the uncertainty and excitement of what was to come.
We held weekly meetings, came up with blog post schedules, and began the ongoing process of building something that felt like us. It’s been the fun kind of homework — the kind that gives more than it takes. And it’s grown right alongside us. Emotionally, visually, spiritually. There’s a kind of magic in that.
Now, with nearly 40 blog posts behind us and so many stories shared, we’re asking the question again: what’s next?
We’ve been thinking a lot about what phase two could look like. The ideas come easily: maybe a return to the coffee cart, maybe launching the game (shout out to truth or truth) we’ve been working on, maybe gatherings — salons, pop-ups, even a tote bag. Why not? There’s freedom in creating just for the joy of it.
Our next phase is about bridging the gap between the digital and the physical. Creating something people can feel, experience, participate in. And we want you to be a part of that — whether that means writing a piece, joining an event, or just continuing to read along. If you’ve ever felt inspired by what we’ve shared, that means more than you know.
What we do know is that we’re not in a serious rush. Where shall we go, what should we do? We’re not completely sure. We’ve realized over time: the journey is the destination. And we are taking…
And welcome to it! Taking the scenic route of life is an invitation to slow down, explore, enjoy the ride, and take it all in. It’s about letting go of needing a final destination. It’s the in between moments — the buildup, the brainstorming, the conversations — that become the heart of the journey.
Every turn is an invitation — to explore, reflect, pause, and play. And we’re letting the process guide us, as it always has.
We’re taking the scenic route. Want to come with us?
From Roberta:
Something I take away from all of this is the chance to be vulnerable. A part of sharing your work is realizing that you will not love everything you create equally – and that is okay. We’ve had weeks of feeling uninspired, yet we are still sharing something with the world. It is impossible that a single piece of your work will be your best work. And that can apply to this entire life journey. There may be times in life where you are confused, not sure where you’re heading, and that is a part of the process! Every day can’t be your best day — or else nothing would feel special.
To those wondering what’s next, just know you are not alone. We are right there with you.
To everyone who has written a piece for Siela, thank you for opening your heart, being vulnerable online, and sharing a bit of your light with us. To everyone who has expressed their support and love for Siela, thank you for being the fire that keeps us going. I never realized the amount of people this blog has touched until a friend, or even a distant acquaintance, tells me they’ve kept up with the posts, and that somehow, it shifted something in them. That means everything.
To Justina — thank you for being my partner in this and in life. We come as a package deal, and it’s truly a gift and an honor to work alongside you, your mind, your eye, your impeccable vision. You push me to be better, and together, it feels like we’ve turned that light outward to share with every person who’s ever read a single piece.

From Justina:
One of my favorite parts of this experience has been people writing their own pieces. The fact that someone has trust, understands the vision, and is willing to get vulnerable — that’s something so special and real. It’s like reading other people’s diaries, and how lucky we are to share that with one another.
Hearing that someone clicked on the website, read a post, and felt something means so much. Even just one person getting something from Siela is enough for me.
I’m proud that we’ve been consistent with this. It’s easy to fall into the trap of a hobby Instagram that fades after a month (been there), but this has felt different. I think it’s because of the beautiful partnership Roberta and I have created. When one of us lacks motivation, the other brings it. When one forgets the vision, the other reminds. We’ve inspired each other, again and again, and that’s what’s kept it alive. I am so thankful to have someone who is always on the same page as me. Love you tute!!

We’re still here. Still dreaming. Still building.
